Bio:Stephen Fry (born Stephen John Fry, in Hampstead, London, United Kingdom on Aug. 24, 1957) is an English comedian, actor, writer, voice-over actor, and activist. He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award– for his performance in the film Wilde. He also starred as Melchett in the BBC TV series Blackadder. Stephen is also known for his voice-overs, reading all seven of the Harry Potter novels for the UK audiobook recordings. Aside from acting, he has written columns and articles for newspapers and magazines and also wrote four novels and three volumes of an autobiography. Stephen has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and in 1995 he suffered a nervous breakdown. He then went missing for several days while contemplating suicide. His experience with the illness was depicted in the Emmy Award-winning documentary Stephen Fry: The Secret Life of the Manic Depressive.

Best Known For:Stephen is best known for being an actor and comedian and for his voice-over work.

Personal Life:Stephen was in a 15-year relationship with Daniel Cohen, but it ended in 2010. On Jan. 6, 2015, Stephen announced his engagement to his stand-up comedian partner Elliott Spencer.
